Studio Policies and Procedures

Mission

Storm Music Lessons strives to make music an integral part of everyone’s life no matter their age and skill level.

Cancellations

• Students must cancel within 24 hours of scheduled lesson time. Failure to do so will result in the student forfeiting that lesson. There will be no make-up offered for the lesson missed. Exceptions due to emergencies or sickness will be left to the discretion of the teacher.
• If a student cancels a lesson prior to 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time, the student may reschedule the lesson within 30 days of the missed lesson. The student is responsible for scheduling the make up lesson using the studio calendar. The make up lesson may NOT take the place of a regularly scheduled lesson time.
• No Shows will not be given a make up lesson. More than 3 no shows within a two month period will result in the student being removed from the studio.

Payment and Billing

• Payments must be made by the 30th of every month. After the 30th of each month a late fee of $20 will be added. If you are a “pay-as-you-go” student, payment is due on the day of the lesson.
• A $30 fee will be added for any check that is returned by the bank
• Payments may be made by check, cash, venmo or PayPal
• If payment is not made by the time of the first lesson of the month, no lesson will be given.
• Students will be credited on the next billing cycle for any lesson that must be canceled due to the teacher’s schedule OR receive a make-up lesson within 30 days of the canceled lesson.
  

Terminating Lessons

• Students must provide 2 weeks’ notice of terminating lessons. Students will be responsible for paying for lessons two weeks from notification date.
• Any lessons paid for and not completed before termination will not be refunded.
• Teachers reserve the right to terminate any student that repeatedly breaks studio policies, is verbally or physically abusive, or behaves inappropriately in lessons.
  

Studio Closings

• Studio will be closed on: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday and New Year’s Day
• All other holidays the studio will be open
• In the event of inclement weather, lessons will be conducted via Zoom, Skype, or Google Meets
